Manchester United won Aston Villa on the final day of their Premier League campaign, finishing 15th in the league table, with Reuben Amorim sending a message to fans.

It was a disastrous season for the club of their height, and manager Reuben Amorim assured the fans that there would be a better day.

The Portuguese manager claims Manchester United has a pedigree that bounces back from this situation and will be interesting to see if they can compete for a massive trophy next year.

Amorim said (H/T Fabrizio Romano): “I want to apologise for this season. I’m really disappointed with the team. Now I have to make a choice. I’m stuck in the past. The past is over. In the past, we can overcome any situation or disaster. It’s our club.

They are undoubtedly one of the biggest clubs in the world. They should be fighting for the trophies regularly. Finishing 15th place is simply unacceptable for clubs of their height. It remains to be seen whether the team will be able to insert a gap between the teams during the summer transfer period and bounce back hard.

Multiple quality signatures will be required during the summer transfer period to fight towards the top of the table next season.

Manchester United should aim to secure their qualifications for the Champions League next season and compete for the domestic trophy.
