The summer transfer window will officially open for business next month, and Leeds United may be busy as they prepare for the season in the Premier League.
One of the players on the club’s radar is Tottenham Hotspur Winger Manor Solomon. He spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Elland Road.
The 25-year-old attacker finished the season with 10 goals and 12 assists in the championship, and Leeds are now looking at a surprising new target for Solomon in the Premier League.
Leeds is focusing on Premier League defenders
According to journalist Alan Nixon, via his Patreon (25/05/2025), Leeds United are focusing on a new target in the form of West Ham United’s left-back Aaron Creswell.
The reporter claims Daniel Fark is lined up a snap move to free transfers of the experienced defender when his contract with Hammer expires at the end of next month.
However, Nixon adds that he is also interested in Wrexham, the championship side owned by celebrities who have just been promoted from League One. That means there’s a competition to sign the 35-year-old star.
The journalists also make it clear that Leeds considers a veteran fullback as a team player, rather than a guaranteed starter, but that doesn’t mean he’s not an incredibly valuable addition, especially for Solomon.
Why should Leeds sign Aaron Creswell?
Junior Furpo’s contract is set to expire this summer, but it is still unclear whether he will put the pen on paper as an extension.
Cresswell may not come to start all 38 Premier League games in the next semester, as Nixon’s report suggests, but he is a very experienced top flight performer who can resort to delivering quality displays when called out.
Finishing in the UK in three times, he played 312 Premier League matches and a total of 369 matches during his time at London Stadium.

As you can see from the table above, Creswell, who played as a left-back or wide centre-back in the three, has launched 10 Premier League games this season, providing a solid defensive display.
The veteran fullback was described as “nice” when teammate Ryan Fredericks praised his left foot, but he rarely got dribbled, but he still hadn’t delved into dr in the past.
This suggests that it is surprising for Solomon, a direct winger who always wants to attack constantly to score and support, as he is not a defensively weak left-back that requires constant support and doubles from his front.
This means that if Israel International signs permanently at Elland Road this summer, his defensive solidity will like to be behind him.
