From 2024-25, Brooklyn Net completed 26-56 at the Eastern Conference. After the 2025 draft lottery, Brooklyn was caught up in his eighth overall pick.
There will also be three more first and second picks in this year’s draft. In addition, there are 10 tradeable first round draft topics available at your disposal. Brian Lewis, NBA insider for the New York Post, reported that NET is considered a team interested in rising in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Teams in the 2025 NBA Draft have no more control over picks than the net. Brooklyn was chosen to choose 8, 19, 26, 27, and 36 days. Brian Lewis of the New York Post reported that the net wanted to move up. He said that combined with Brooklyn’s draft capital and general manager Sean Marks’ history of draft day trading would likely make them the candidates. Lewis said this was “almost instantly” leading to rumours that the internet would rise. The draft is over four weeks.
Brian Lewis pointed out that there are rumours that the net wants to rise as much as the overall pick. The Spurs currently hold the #2 selection in the 2025 draft. Scouts believe Brooklyn wants to add Rutgers’ Dylan Harper. He is a local of the area and a player he has been heavily scouted by the net. Sources say San Antonio remains at #2 and is happy to choose Harper.
Several reports around the NBA link the net to the overall picks of #3. The 76ers currently own that selection in the 2025 draft. Lewis pointed out that the Six is willing to return to some spots. It could be a great opportunity for the net to move up. Brian Lewis pointed out that Brooklyn could use other draft capital to win the second lottery in the 2025 draft. In addition to 10 tradeable round picks, the net has quite a cap room this offseason. There are plenty of options available at tables in Brooklyn.
