Tylese Halliburton secured his place in two prestigious groups following the Indiana Pacers’ 130-121 win in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. First, his impressive performance matched the achievements of just two other NBA players. Second, he was inducted into Fox Sports analyst Nick Wright’s exclusive “Club Superstar,” which honors 12 elite players based on season-by-season excellence.

Wright noted that Halliburton is currently performing at a level worthy of regular season MVP, NBA Finals MVP, and consistent All-NBA First Team honors. Along with Halliburton, Wright’s “Club Superstar” includes the standout stars from other playoff teams such as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Brunson, and Anthony Edwards, as well as veteran legends like LeBron James and Stephen Curry.

Also part of this elite group are multiple MVP winners Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo, first-team All-NBA players Jayson Tatum and Donovan Mitchell, and the new Lakers star Luka Doncic. Kevin Durant stands out as the only “Club Superstar” member whose team did not make the playoffs this season, while Devin Booker missed the cut for the second year in a row.

Rising talents Kade Cunningham, Victor Wembanyama, and Alperen Sengun were not invited, with Halliburton and Mitchell replacing Joel Embiid and Anthony Davis. Halliburton earned his spot by consistently outperforming his peers, leading the Pacers past the Bucks in five games, then overcoming Mitchell and the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference semifinals in another five games, and now standing one win away from his first NBA Finals appearance against Brunson and the Knicks.

CBS analyst Chris Broussard praised Halliburton as the best player in the series, calling him “something special.” Halliburton’s stat line in Game 4—32 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds—cemented his “Club Superstar” status. Only Nikola Jokic and James Harden among the 11 other club members have matched such numbers. Halliburton, Jokic, and Harden are the only players to achieve a 30-15-10 game with zero turnovers, but uniquely, Halliburton did this in the postseason.

Fan Take: Halliburton’s rise to “Club Superstar” signals a thrilling new era in the NBA where young talent is not just participating but dominating at the highest levels. For basketball fans, this means more electrifying performances and a fresh crop of players who can redefine the future of the sport.
