Trent Alexander Arnold has left Liverpool. To be fair, FSG is actually doing very well, banking around £10 million to ensure that the right-back can join Real Madrid earlier.

It was a tired Saga, an indisputable stain on Liverpool’s incredible Premier League victory. Ah, it comes out in the laundry. With the entire ordeal over, you can look to the exciting incoming calls that are heading down the Anfield path.

Jeremie Frimpong has completed his medical care, and his move to Anfield is announced imminently, and Florian Wirtz and Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez’s contract is in the pipeline. Liverpool also wants a new number nine.

However, this cannot all happen without some exits. Let’s see who will leave Arne Slot’s Reds this summer.

Who can leave Liverpool?

Alexander Arnold wasn’t the only one to shed tears as Liverpool lifted the Premier League title after a season-deadline draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Harvey Elliott cuts the heart-pounding figure. Because the younger playmaker has been limited to a bit of a partial role this season and it seems he might leave. Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund are names that are demanding £50 million and are modest names.

Frimpong Inbound may be over a five-year stay at Kostas Tsimikas’ club. Thirty-one year old Andy Robertson is in decline, but he wants to stay and challenge Kerquez.

Darwin Nunes is probably the most nailed out for his departure. Liverpool wants a striker, but they can’t move forward without the sale of the Club Records guy. In this term, a well-documented struggle in England left him with just seven goals from 47 matches.

It was frustrating to watch Uruguay’s struggle, especially as he hopes to emulate his fellow countryman Luis Suarez and become a superstar at Liverpool.

Elsewhere, strange reports of interest in Bayern Munich’s Cody Gakupo have also emerged this week, but it seems unlikely that FSG will allow the left forward behind alone Mohamed Sarah on Liverpool’s scoring chart this season.

However, Louis Diaz is also targeted by suitors and could be set as an exit in the coming months.

FSG expects key players bids

According to Transfer Insider Ben Jacobs, Liverpool is hoping to hear from Saudi officials in the coming weeks.

Jacobs believes Diaz will likely cost more than 805 million euros (£72 million) if he leaves Anfield this summer.

Barcelona has also had a long-standing interest in the 28-year-old, with La Blaugrana in particular publicly revealing praise for the players on the weight of the bid.

Diaz is pushing for a new contract at Anfield, earning just £55,000 a week, and is believed to be in the penultimate year of the current deal.

Why can Diaz become another Luis Suarez?

It may seem like a good idea to make a big offer to Diaz, but he is considered a “world-class” player by former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, effectively replacing him and in other areas that require investment.

In fact, the Colombian enjoys his best campaign in Liverpool, scoring 17 goals and offering eight assists in all competitions.

Moreover, his underlying technical data is very impressive. According to FBREF, the skilled star ranks in 13% of the top 13% of the attacking midfielders and wingers in Europe’s top five leagues.

A successful take-on is recorded when the player defeats the opponent while bringing the ball directly into the possession.

By selling Diaz at the top of the game, you can even mimic Barcelona’s one-off sale of football legend Suarez, who joined Campnoo in 2014 for a deal worth £75 million.

Of course, there are differences, but Liverpool will abandon the South American star after competing for the season at the peak of the Premier League.

However, his feelings of indifference towards Diaz are misguided. With Suarez under Brendan Rogers, Diaz is one of the world’s greatest players in his position, perhaps a bit of waste here and there, but he’s creating an impressive number that other players may struggle to replicate.

Data from the Transfer Market

As you can see, Rafina and Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola are the only left-handed advances in Europe’s top five leagues to surpass Diaz this season, and he was in fact the highest scorer in the Premier League.

Suarez scored 82 goals in 133 games for the Reds. He is, of course, not on the go, but the principles remain. Liverpool skates across thin ice so that fleet-footed Maverick can leave with more drastic changes on Anfield Road.

It’s a tricky thing. Diaz is one of the best wingers in the Premier League and has won things under slot leadership this season, completing his most productive individual season with the Liverpool shirts.

However, he is expected to turn 30 by the time the current deal expires at the end of the 2026/27 campaign, and it appears that suitors are willing to consider bringing at least a handsome guy out of Merseyside.

However, there are many things to consider. Is Diaz on this team really that much responsibility? Is his prowess unfairly darkened by Sarah’s ridiculous output?

Liverpool may come and see the bank amount if Diaz departs.

That said, resilience and strength make Slot Liverpool successful this season and should be able to overcome such a setback.
