Angel Reese received high praise from her Chicago Sky teammates following her second straight victory, as first reported by Athlon Sports. The Chicago Sky secured their second consecutive win on Saturday, improving their record to 2-4 in the 2025 WNBA season with a 94-83 triumph, marking their first road win of the year.

Coach Tyler Marsh recorded back-to-back wins for the first time in his coaching career, with the Sky now tied with the Indiana Fever for fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Ariel Atkins led the team with 26 points, while Courtney Vandersloot contributed 14 points, along with seven rebounds and seven assists, showcasing a well-rounded performance.

The 2024 WNBA All-Star Angel Reese added 14 points, nine rebounds, and two assists, making significant defensive contributions, including three steals. After the game, veteran center Elizabeth Williams highlighted Reese’s improved passing, noting how it helped the team secure these two wins. “She showed great vision, especially under pressure from Vandersloot, making smart decisions on the court,” Williams commented.

Reese’s assists per game increased from an average of 1.9 in the 2024 season to 2.8 so far in 2025. Chicago’s next game is scheduled for June 7, marking the start of the 2025 WNBA Commissioners Cup, where they will face the Indiana Fever, who currently hold a 2-4 record but had previously defeated the Sky 93-58 in the season opener.

Fan Take: This win streak highlights Angel Reese’s growth as a versatile player, which is crucial for the Chicago Sky’s competitiveness this season. For WNBA fans, Reese’s development signals an exciting future for the league as young stars continue to elevate the level of play and bring fresh energy to the sport.
