Tottenham Hotspur is looking to improve its defense force by signing Crystal Palace star Mark Ngwehi.

Christian Romero is linked to travelling from the club, and Tottenham needs to replace him properly. He is the best defender at the club and his departure will weaken the team. Tottenham sees England International as a potential alternative.

Guehi is also linked to Newcastle United.

An alternative to Christian Romero?

Guehi certainly proved his quality in the Premier League at Crystal Palace, and he helped them win the FA Cup this past season. He has the ability to play for a bigger club and he could be an ideal alternative to World Cup winners.

According to Fitches, Tottenham is currently trying to accelerate negotiations to sign players, which will cost him 40 million euros. The reported asking price seemed reasonable for players of his quality, and he could easily justify his spending.

Guehi is only 24 years old and will improve with his coaching experience. He was able to prove to be a bargain for Tottenham in the long run.

The defender has proven himself at Crystal Palace, and this is the right time for him to take the next step in his career and join a club where he can compete for the trophy. Tottenham has won the UEFA Europa League and is an attractive destination for defenders. It remains to be seen whether the former Chelsea Academy alumni are ready to participate.

Meanwhile, the players have returned to their former club, Chelsea.

Tottenham certainly has the funds to pay him 40 million euros. It will be interesting to see if they will submit official offers in the coming weeks.

Guehi is looking to establish himself as a key player in the club and the country. He is labelled as an “exceptional” player, and Tottenham will do well to secure his signature.
