Newcastle United are interested in signing PSG defender Nordi Mukiere this summer.
According to AfricaFoot, they have begun negotiations with a French outfit to sign the 27-year-old defender. Mukiele is not a key player to Champions League winners, so they are unlikely to get in his way.
Mukire was linked with Manchester United earlier in the season. He was expected to leave PSG forever last year, but the move didn’t work.
Mukiele needs to leave PSG
The player has already been informed that he is not part of Luis Enrique’s plans for next season. The 27-year-old was loaned out at Bayer Leverkusen last season.
He will try to sort out his long-term future and focus on his football again. The move to Newcastle United might be ideal for him. He can operate not only as a central defender, but also as a right-back. His versatility is a bonus for Newcastle if they can get the deal done.
Newcastle already offers 15 million euros to sign players and has signed a contract with PSG until 2027. It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can agree to a reasonable deal in the coming weeks.
Newcastle needs to improve their team during the summer transfer period. They have qualified for the Champions League next season and need better players to do well in Europe.
Nordi Mukiele could make Newcastle moves flashy
On the other hand, the opportunity to participate in Newcastle is very appealing to players. They have ambitious projects and talented teams. Quality players also have the resources to sign.
It will be interesting to see if Mukiere can quickly adapt to British football and establish himself as a Newcastle player. If he can hit the ground running in British football, he could become a magpie asset.
