The Stanley Cup final will continue Monday night as the Edmonton Oilers face off against the Florida Panthers in an important Game 3 at South Florida’s Amerant Bank Arena. The best-of-seven series is tied at 1-1, with both games going into overtime—Edmonton took Game 1 with a 4-3 win in overtime, and Florida answered back by winning Game 2 in double overtime, 5-4. Conor McDavid, a three-time Hart Trophy winner, is leading with five assists, while teammate Leon Draisaitl has four points, including three goals. Florida’s top defender Nate Schmidt has four assists this postseason.

The reigning Stanley Cup champions, the Oilers, have been strong on home ice, posting a 27-12-2 record in the regular season and 4-3 in the playoffs. Once play shifts to Florida, the Panthers are favored with odds of -143 at BetMGM Sportsbook, compared to Edmonton’s +121 underdog status. The betting model favors the under 6.5 goals tonight, rating it an “A” play, referencing the lower scores in previous games at Amerant Bank Arena. It also suggests the Oilers have a 75% chance of covering the spread, higher than the general consensus of 67.2%. Panthers’ Scott Erskine is confident in the team’s scoring, noting key player Elskin’s recent scoring streaks against Edmonton.

In MLB, notable matchups include the Marlins hosting the Pirates, where Miami’s pitcher Yuri Perez is making a return after Tommy John surgery, with the model favoring Pittsburgh by the runline. The Diamondbacks face the Mariners, with pitcher Merrill Kelly expected to exceed 5.5 strikeouts, and the Mariners favored to cover the spread. Upcoming in the NBA Finals, the Pacers and Thunder will meet again Wednesday with the model predicting a score under 228.5 points, favoring the Thunder to cover the spread.
