  • Andre Onana flops at Man United
  • Amorim wants a new goalkeeper next season

According to Ben Jacobs, Manchester United have added OGC nice shot stopper Marshin Buka to their list of potential goalkeeper targets.

The 25-year-old Polish International is one of several options that are closely monitored by the Red Devils when evaluating long-term plans between posts.

Andre Onana remains Man United’s current first-choice goalkeeper, but his position is no longer guaranteed.

Club officials have yet to communicate with Onana that he is surplus to the requirements, but internal debate is underway as to whether the Cameroonians will remain uncontroversial No. 1 heading for next season.

Andre Onana flops at Man United

Onana joined United from Inter Milan in 2023 at a considerable fee, but so far has endured turbulence at Old Trafford.

Despite showing signs of improvement later in the season, questions remain about his consistency and suitability to manager Reuben Amorim’s system.

Buka previously had stints at Chelsea and PSG, but has flourished in the top tier of France in normal game times.

His impressive form has not been overlooked, and United Scouts have been tracking his performance over the past few months.

United also maintains the tab of Emiliano Martinez at Aston Villa.

World Cup winner Argentina has been praised not only in Old Trafford but also in Atletico Madrid, adding even more competition to his signature.

Martinez brings experience, leadership and a big game mentality, and may think that United is essential if they move on from Onana or ask for a direct upgrade.

United are carefully considering their options. The club is not in a hurry to make a final decision, and is open to both maintaining the onana and signing the new No. 1 depending on how the transfer market develops and what backing Amorim receives for overhaul of his team.

Whether it’s Buca, Martinez, or another name, it’s clear that United is exploring all the possibilities to strengthen the position they once thought to be safe.

Hopefully they move in the coming weeks as the club will rebuild key areas of the pitch for the 2025/26 campaign.

Along with Onana, Alejandro Garnacho is another celebrity facing the uncertain future of Old Trafford.
