Fiorentina striker Moise Kean has earned great praise from Italian legend Christian Vieri in his interest in transferring from Arsenal.
The 25-year-old previously flops in the Premier League with Everton, but appears to be returning to his best with Fiorentina’s impressive spell.
Keene scored 26 goals and contributed three assists in all club and country competitions of the season. Bieri is a huge fan.
Talking about the Italian football podcast, Vieri discussed the heart and issues of the current Italian national team.
Despite the lack of players in the caliber of past greats, Vieri selected Keene as “amazing” and praised Mateo Retegi.
Moise Kean has received great acclaim from the legendary Italian striker
“I don’t know (what happened). When I was in the national team, I was Inzagi, Del Piero, Baguio, Monterra, Totti, Casilagi, Zora, Viari, Lavanelli and Mancini.
“I was talking to Pippo Inzagi last week, and he told me, “For 35 years, we’ve had the best striker in the world and now we have a big drought.”
“But we have Keene and Retschy. They are two very good strikers. If they play together, they are very dangerous. Keene is an incredible striker and an incredible center ahead.
“Letegui in the box is very good. He’s a murderer. So with these two players, there’s no problem like the last 10 to 15 years.”
That’s certainly a great praise from someone who was as good as Vieri was in his Prime!
Can Moys Keene move to Arsenal?
Catch off side Arsenal had previously been informed of interest to sign Keene, but things have not come to fruition since.
Italy International may make sense as a Plan B option for Gunners, but for now it appears to be focusing on Benjamin Sesko, or Viktor Gyoker.
But they can do much worse than they see as someone who counts Keene. Retegui is also trying to ensure that he will attract people who will raise interest in transfers in the coming months and years.
