Liverpool attacker Darwin Nunes was offered to Italian giant AC Milan, who is trying to improve his attacking unit.
They want to introduce quality strikers during the summer transfer period, and it will be interesting to see if they can achieve a 25-year-old contract. South America has failed to meet his expectations at Premier League clubs, and moving in this summer might be ideal for him.
Gazzetta Dello Sport claims that players are accepting the move.
Darwinnes needs a new start
He struggled with his regular game time at Liverpool last season. He will try to regain his career with regular first-team action at Italian clubs. There is no doubt that he has the physicality and technical attributes to get along well in Italian football, and he could become a key player in Milan.
He showed his quality very often in Liverpool, but he is very contradictory. If he can resolve contradictions and work on decision-making, there is no doubt that Uruguay International can develop into a top-class player.
Nunez is highly regarded throughout Europe, with Ally McCoist describing him as a “incredible” player in the past. On top of that, Liverpool star Mohamed Sarah has previously admitted that he loves playing alongside South America.
Liverpool needs to replace him
Liverpool already lacks depth in their attacking units and if they decide to leave South America, they will need to bring in quality strikers. His performance is overwhelming and requires an upgrade. Selling him to AC Milan would bring money to bring quality alternatives.
It will be interesting to see who Liverpool will sign as his replacement.
Meanwhile, South America is only 25 years old and he has plenty of time to fulfill his potential. He should try to join a club where he gets regular opportunities, and he should play under a manager who trusts his abilities.
