“Step Up Quality” – Aston Villa Star encourages clubs to sign three-time Champions League winners

Aston Villa is about to sign wise this summer after a slight missed qualification for the Champions League, and the arrival of cuts could be sought in the hopes of sales being required to comply with the PSR.

Over the past few weeks, things like Jacob Ramsey and Morgan Rogers have been linked to moves away from Villa Park as a result of the PSR misery reported by Aston Villa, and if one of them goes, they will need a replacement.

And in that case, the potential candidate to sign may be Marco Asensio. The 29-year-old playmaker, who scored eight times in 21 appearances in all competitions with the Aston Villa Lawn spell late last season, will be available again as Paris Saint-Germain doesn’t count him in future plans.

Speaking as Diario (via the Birmingham Mail), Pau Torres believes Aston Villa should consider re-signing Asensio during the transfer period this summer.

“Hopefully we can achieve that. Marco is comfortable and knows he likes the mechanics of Unai Emery and the confidence he has given him.

“The club needs to talk to PSG to see how players like him can keep up.

It will be interesting to see if Aston Villa is moving to sign Asensio again. He obviously had a big impact late last season, but it’s possible that he’s not that expensive because PSG doesn’t count on him. It has been reported that trades can be made in recent weeks, but for now it is still unclear how things will unfold between both parties.
