Arsenal is trying to add quality to Mikel Arteta’s team, and once one midfielder is already in, another midfielder can approach his home.

Arsenal is in the market for new left winger and strikers, but before this, Martin Zubimendi’s contract has already been sealed. Real Sociedad Pivot will be taking part in July. He may not be the only midfielder to move to Emirates this summer.

They could also bring in the offensively oriented midfielder and provide the competition for Martin Odegard, who didn’t have the best season in 2024-25. One of the Arsenal radar players is Leicester playmaker Bilal El Khannouss.

El Cannas almost certainly left Leicester after relegation to the championship, and according to Africafoot, Arsenal is a favorite to land his signature. It has been reported that a contract with a 21-year-old representative has already been achieved regarding personal terminology. This means that all that remains before the transaction takes place is all about the fee contract.

Leicester resigns to El Cannas, leaving this summer and stays in the Premier League, giving him the best chance to ensure he is included in the Moroccan team at the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held during the season.

El Cannas was impressed with Leicester last season. And as a team player, he will be a great addition to Arsenal. Considering the circumstances, he is unlikely to be too valuable, and at age 21 there is plenty of room for growth.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will be able to sign an El Cannaus contract in the coming weeks. Other clubs, including Newcastle and Aston Villa, have shown interest, but the Premier League runner-ups are their favorites at this stage.
