Arsenal kickstarted the summer transfer window with key business, according to trusted transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, as manager Mikel Arteta prepares to welcome his newest team members.

North Londoners are looking to make statements of intent over the coming months after missing out on the Premier League title to Liverpool by 10 points last season, turning their eyes to new sports director Andrea Berta.

His desire for top transfer is clear.

Berta’s track record at former club Atletico Madrid ultimately convinced Arsenal to replace the Italians three months ago with Edu Gaspard. He has since been busy spinning many plates in the Emirates in pursuit of the new additions he needs.

Their new striker searches dominate the headlines, with Berta working on the moves of both CP Viktor Gyoker and Benjamin Sesco.

Arsenal also held “major consultations” over targets in a wide area, according to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg. Goalkeeper Kepa Alizabaraga has been poised to join the people of North London as David Raya’s new understudy, replacing Neto.

But before all this activity began, Arsenal began a contract effort with Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.

The speech will be in advanced stages starting in January, with the BBC and other trusted media outlets saying last month that medical care for the 26-year-old is scheduled.

Zubimendi’s inexplicable comments about Zubimendi’s future, denying how much progress has progressed in the transfer, combined with President Jokin Aperribay, has begun worrying that Real Madrid can hijack Arsenal’s deal.

These horrors are quickly quelled by more reliable reports that Arsenal was set up to seal their deal with Zubimendi, and Romano has been sharing better news on the issue in the last 24 hours’ updates.

Martin Zubimendi’s Arsenal contract was “completed” with a document “signed.”

Staying at X, the journalist said Friday that Arsenal has “completed” all necessary paperwork in Zubimendi, London, and has been signed.

Spain International costs up to £56 million, slightly exceeding his release clause, with Berta agreeing to pay an increased fee for installments.

Giorguinho also joined Flamengo earlier this month, in reports that Thomas Party is about to leave Arsenal following consultations on a new contract, which is very welcome for Arteta.

Zubimendi has stood out as one of La Liga’s best midfielders in recent years, and is set to end his stay at Boyhood Club Sociedad to seal off his long-awaited move into the Premier League a year after refusing to switch to Liverpool.

“Zvimendi is an extraordinary defensive midfielder,” said former Barcelona boss Zabi of Arsenal’s latest signature. “He understands the model we like at Barca and controls it with or without the ball.”
