Aston Villa is working hard to sell key players before PSR deadline

Aston Villa is suffering from well-documented PSR issues and will need to sell at least one player in the next seven days to avoid issues entering the 2025-26 Premier League season.

Unai Emery hopes to add more quality to the team during the summer transfer period, but will need to be sold first. Many players, including Morgan Rogers and Jacob Ramsey, are linked to moves away from Villa Park, but the other two are considered to be their favorites to move forward by the end of June.

As GivemeSport reported, Aston Villa has two players in mind at the exit by June 30th: Leon Bailey and Emi Martinez. Both players have suitors, and at this stage the former is more likely to leave.

Bailey has attracted strong interest from the Saudi Arabian professional league, with Neom being said to be his favorite to sign him in a deal worth £25 million. However, that may not be enough, so there is a possibility that Martinez will be on sale by the end of June.

Martinez has drawn a vital self alongside Man United among clubs eager to sign him. While Aston Villa is accepting sales, the report suggests that fees will be required in the £40 million region to give it a green light.

It remains to be seen what will happen at Aston Villa next week. At least one player will depart, and at this stage Bailey and Martinez are big favorites to move on.
