Assuming Liverpool gets a new centre forward this summer, Arne Slot could potentially build an Anfield Road truly special outfit that will allow him to dominate European football for years to come.
Liverpool has already closed Bayer Leverkusen duo Jeremy Fripon and Florian Wiltz, but today is Tuesday and is now Milos Kerkez Week.
Without a doubt, FSG has not rotated the wheels this summer and will act with the intention of securing the core of Slot’s team over the next few years.
While signing the centre forward is highly dependent on radar, Darwinnes’ sales to Naples must be confirmed (Saudi suitors are also enthusiastic).
Meanwhile, Liverpool is being forced to challenge the possibility of losing one of the star forwards at Louis Diaz.
Why Liverpool can sell Louis Diaz?
Earlier in the month, Diaz spoke about his future at Merseyside and his discussion with potential suitors. He called it the natural part of the transfer window, especially in the previous stages. He’s right.
Barcelona has a historic interest in trying to act, but Liverpool’s sports director Richard Hughes retorted negatively when he made the approach. Barka feels that it has no financial shaking to meet the requirements of the FSG. After all, Diaz is one of the best wingers in Europe.
However, some mullahs have been lying to Bayern Munich, reportedly conducting their own investigation into the 28-year-old Colombian, who scored 17 goals for the British champions in 2024/25 and supplied eight assists. Cody Gakpo is also featured on the German giant’s wish list.
Diaz will take part in the following year and next year on his Liverpool contract, but will only be sold if appropriate proposals are submitted. Something in the area that is probably 80 million euros (68 million pounds).
But once Diaz goes, he needs to be replaced.
It must be emphasized that this is unlikely to happen, but according to Transfer Insider Graeme Bailey, Liverpool is interested in signing Bradley Barcola this summer.
In fact, FSG is already trying to sign the silky star of Paris Saint-Germain, so it has already done an official investigation. However, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are also enthusiastic about wingers, appearing as one of Europe’s leading advances over the past year.
So PSG answered the phone by stating that the 22-year-old child is not on sale. Although not explicitly stated, Bailey suggests that Liverpool is willing to eliminate another £100 million this summer, discussing the plot surrounding Barcola.
Why Liverpool wants Bradley Barcola
If Liverpool’s Diaz is one of the biggest talents to leave, then a proper exchange will be required to balance the output and ensure that Mohamed Sarah is not even responsible for the title-winning effect, even though he is still in the final semester.
Barcola certainly could be that person. Because the rising star is proving that he can take a step from a good prospect to a world-class superstar under Luis Enrique’s Wing from Parc Des Princes.
Barcola, who took part in the PSG for a price of 45 million euros (about £38 million) in 2023, went from strength to strength only in the Paris shirt he tasted from left flank to right side and in the central berth.

If he takes the left wing spot of Diaz (which could potentially act like a more experienced man in the fake type 9 role), Barcola will certainly forge an incredible alliance with the quality of “generational” ball playing – as commented by journalist Chris Stona – see the famously regularly chosen by the French.
Plus, Wirtz’s off-ball intelligence is impressive, with German international being able to weave into space, gathering passes and hitting goals as Barcola throwing his speed into the wings.
Wirtz brings an athletic style of creativity and bouncing to Anfield, but Barcora expands it, then expands some through his fleet’s feet and electric dribbling.
The action of creating a goal is a game that leads to a goal. These include moments like passing, take-on, fouls and more.
Think of Diaz. But it’s even more energetic and even stronger in the final third. Barcola gathers the balls, moves to the dangerous area at breakneck pace, wipes out the path, then invades the enemy’s defence area, you guessed it, Wirtz.
Sacking German in the bag is incredible enough for slot projects, but if Barcola’s up-and-coming superstar can sign as well, you won’t be able to know how bright the future will be for Premier League champions.
PSG may have issued something highlighted to hungry suitors, but that means that it is hardly possible to mediate movement, especially if the £100 million price tag he reported is met.
The Barcora movement depends on Diaz (or Gakupo’s) summer sales. If such a contingency occurs, the Barcola may be the perfect replacement.
He still doesn’t recognize his potential, and as analyst Ben Matinson said, he is already “one of the best wingers in the world.” Liverpool needs to accomplish that.
