The Glasgow Rangers made a formal bid to sign another fullback for manager Russell Martin after an Ibrox deal with Max Aaron.
Rangers sign Aaron on loan when Gels announces the deal
After confirming a deal agreed earlier this year to sign midfielder Lyor Cameron, the GERS and 49ers companies moved efficiently to take Aaron to Ibrox.
Moving to Glasgow on a straight loan agreement from Bournemouth, Aaron straightened to work with the Rangers, saying after writing the contract:
“I’m happy to be here. It turns out to be a huge club. I can’t wait to go as I walk through the door.
“I’ve had a lot of experiences in different leagues now and have played a lot of games. I think I can bring that experience, bring new energy and get excited by Rangers fans – I’m really looking forward to it.”
Ahead of Rangers’ Champions League qualifiers for Panatinaikos and Scottish Premiership Opener at Motherwell, Martin and Garth will consider adding with further defensive signatures on the agenda.
Leicester City Centre Back Connor Cody is open to travel to Rangers after contact, while Liverpool’s Owen Beck is another transfer target. It is believed that the Rangers were opened up by the Rangers over Beck’s move, and a new update has arrived.
Rangers bid to sign Owen Beck
According to Daveockop, “The Rangers now formalized their interest with the 22-year-old bid.”
Liverpool discussed extending the contract with Beck and sending out loans, but Ranger is interested in a permanent left-back deal.
Beck spent last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers, winning the Season Award Young Player Award after competing in 24 championships. Prior to his stay at Ewood Park, Beck also had loan spells at Famalicao, Bolton Wanderers and Dundee United.
The Welsman was actually described as “magnificent” by Scout Jace Krigg. He compared him to Andy Robertson when he came through the Academy in Liverpool.
Elsewhere, former Liverpool U21 coach Barry Lutas called Beck a “consistent performer” in 2022. “I thought Owen was great. He had progressed over his time at the academy, but certainly in the last few years he has been credited with praise for the work he has given him.
