Crystal Palace goalkeeper Owen Goodman is scheduled to leave the club this summer.
According to Pete O’Rourke, multiple clubs have been working to secure his signature, but he will be joining League One’s Huddersfield Town on loan. The player will immediately complete medical care at the club.
Owengoodman needs to play
The 21-year-old was on loan at AFC Wimbledon last season, and he was very impressive to them. He had to play regularly at this stage of his career, and Crystal Palace would not have been able to offer him the opportunity. Leaving the club is ideal for him.
He continues to develop in normal football and is now looking to establish himself as a key player at Huddersfield. Meanwhile, players will try to secure promotions with the Terrier next season. There’s no doubt he has the quality to do well in League One, and he could be an asset to Huddersfield.
Goodman is expected to compete with Lee Nichols and Jacob Chapman for the starting spot. It will be interesting to see if he can hold back his normal starting spot at the English Club.
