Arsenal is about to sign a new winger this summer, as Nico Williams, Rodrigo Go, Anthony Gordon and others are linked. But they are now aiming for Ademola Lookman’s deal.

Arsenal didn’t have much luck in his efforts to sign the winger. Williams was set for Barcelona, and Rodrigo was more likely to remain in Real Madrid. But their fate can change with lookmen who are allowed to leave Atalanta at a reasonable price.

Although he was interested in Arsenal’s lookman dating back to August 2024, Atalanta was able to retain his services. But they may not be that lucky this summer.

Arsenal has resumed negotiations with Atalanta for Lookman, and the asking price is set to a €45-50m plus add-on. It’s clear that the former Charlton, Everton and Fulham man wants another shot in the Premier League now that he has proven himself in Italy. Liverpool is keeping an eye on him too, but Arsenal is the most likely candidate and has resumed those talks with the aim of making a deal this summer.

The Lookman, who has been selected by former striker Ian Wright, scored 20 goals with seven assists in Atalanta’s 40 competitive games during the 2024-25 season, and the goalscore winger is something that Mikel Arteta would like to add to Arsenal, who is also in the market for new strikers.

Arsenal is currently working on several deals

As the gunners already deal with complex negotiations for Valencia defender Christian Mosquera and sports CP prolific striker Victor Gyoker, there are a few different pieces that will first be slotted in place. For now, it is still unclear whether Arsenal will be able to close the deal, but Lookman appears to be properly positioned among the targets.
