Arsenal will soon announce their first batch of summer recruits.

Goalkeeper Kepa Alizabaraga, midfielders Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard are all reportedly poised to join Arsenal next week or so. The former backs up to David Raya.

Nevertheless, there is still much work to do in the Mikel Arteta, Andrea Berta and Arsenal hierarchy.

Arsenal targeting attack reinforcement

After finishing second in the Premier League in a row, it is clear that Arsenal will need to add this summer, and as the table below outlines, it is a more offensive firepower.

As shown in the table, Gunners’ offensive output was significantly reduced by all available metrics compared to the previous two title bids under Arteta last season.

That’s why summer debate remains Benjamin šeško or Victor Gökeres, and the club is clearly in the new number nine market, but they are also looking for an expansion.

Therefore, according to Spanish reports, Arsenal is “strongly” interested in signing Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeeemi.

They added that the German international, which is thought to be available for around 45 million euros (£38 million), is considered a “serious alternative” to the Barcelona-bound Nico Williams, to add “explosiveness” to Arsenal’s forward line.

The 23-year-old began his senior career at RB Salzburg, scoring four Champions League goals for Dailotenbren, thereby earning a £38 million move to Borussia Dortmund three summers ago.

Die Schwarzgelben’s 105 appearances so far, Adeyemi scored 26 goals, registered 17 assists, and featured all three fixtures from the Club World Cup this summer, starting against both Fulminence in East Rutherford and Ulsan HD in Ohio.

Now he’s the 13th German to play for Arsenal, joining current Manschaft teammate Kai Herberts, and will he follow in the footsteps of Mesatt Ozil, Bern Leno and Lucas Podolski, among others?

How Karim Adeyemi improves Arsenal

Arsenal is trying to improve its left-wing options and largely agrees that an upgrade or at least an alternative to Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Torosard, or at least an alternative to both, is necessary to take it to the next level.

Nevertheless, speaking of Arsecast, Andrew Mangan and James McNicholas both agreed that it was very “impossible” for Gunners to sign two Wingers this summer.

Well, Adeyemi certainly fits that short one, and has been deployed on both sides by both Dortmund managers Nuri Chahin and Niko Kovač throughout the season.

So let’s evaluate how he compares Arsenal’s wide player’s gold standard, namely Saka, mentioned above.

As the table outlines, Saka is on top due to the majority of indicators, but that’s not to deny Adeemi. At least considering England International is one of the best players in the world, according to teammate Martinelli.

The German statistics are roughly comparable to Saka’s, achieving more non-penalty targets and successfully completing a higher percentage of his take-ons.

Football talent scout Jacek Kulig describes him as having “electric pace” and “great dribbling skills,” and simply labels him as “world-class talent.”

Meanwhile, full football analysis Lee Scott believes he will provide the ability to “provided a direct target threat” and “carry the ball at the speed of past defenders,” but Tande Young claims that he has broken the line “he can be multiple Barondoors or winners like Lionel Messi.”

So it’s clear that if Adeyemi can check out a bunch of boxes for Arsenal and pull out this deal, it’s going to be a great and exciting addition. He was able to prove he was like Saka on the left.
