Chelsea agreed to a second deal in 24 hours, with another new attacker joining Enzo Maresca’s team.

After signing Liam Delap in early June, Chelsea is in the market for another striker option to go with the former Ipswich guy and Nicholas Jackson. They have linked to the likes of Victor Osimhen and Hugo Ekitike, but in recent weeks they have settled in Joao Pedro as their main target.

And despite competition with Newcastle, Chelsea could now get their man.

As David Ornstein reported, Chelsea reached an agreement with Brighton to sign Pedro. More than £50 million has been confirmed between the two clubs, and the 23-year-old is set to sign a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Pedro had prioritized moving to Chelsea from the start despite Newcastle’s strong interest. He wants to move to London at the next stage of his career, and that’s what he will do later this summer.

But first, Pedro operates in the United States. Ornstein has revealed that Chelsea will add Brazil International to their team for the Club World Cup.

Pedro will be the second player for days for the move to Chelsea, who agreed to a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens earlier in the weekend. Maresca has a wealth of quality in offense next season, but first he will focus on achieving success at the Club World Cup and succeeding along his victory at the 2024-25 UEFA Conference League.
