Arsenal has a specific interest in the “incredible” Christian Mosquera alternative, but according to reporter Sami Mokbell, they are now approaching potential deals.
Gunners have identified Mosquera as their main center back target
Mikel Arteta is blessed with the highest quality centre-back duo at his disposal, as Jamie Carragher praises William Saliba and Gabriel last season.
Speaking about Saliba, Sky Sports experts said: “I think he’s one of the top centre-backs in Europe’s football. As a partnership, he and Gabriel are better than anything in the Premier League.
“I think Saliba is a better player, but Gabriel is a better leader and Saliba needs to bring that to his game if we want to reach the level we talk to Virgil van Dik.”

Arsenal can get closer to signing a new striker.
However, with Gabriel not injured during the backend of the campaign, Arteta is a bit lacking in options, full of Jakubu Kiwior, suggesting he is familiar with further strength at centre-back this summer.
Mosquera has emerged as Arteta’s main target as a backup option for Gabriel and Saliba, and although Gunner is expected to bid at the age of 21, he is now in the move of alternative options.
This is according to Mokbell, a reporter who reports say Arsenal is taking an approach to sign Crystal Palace defender Mark Guech, who is expected to pay fees in the £40 million region this summer.
The people of North London have a specific interest in Guehi, who conducted the initial survey, but their interest has calmed down and now they have turned their attention to Mosquera.
Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are also interested in palace captains, so it may be difficult to get a deal over the line if the gunners decide to start moving.
Guehi may be more suited to Arsenal than Mosquera
It remains to be seen whether England International is eager to travel to Emirates Stadium.
Importantly, the Palace star has already gained experience in the Premier League and has been a key player for the Eagles for many years, but has surpassed Valencia’s defenders in several key defensive metrics over the past year.
Celebrated “incredible” by media members, Guehi may be an excellent signature for Arsenal, but if Gabriel and Saliba mean less game time, the established centre-back move can cause anxiety.
