Jeff Shee gave deep respect to Diogo Jota after the footballer was killed overnight in a car accident in Spain.

Many of his teammates have posted heartfelt messages online, including Alexis Mac Alistair of Liverpool and the Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo, with commemorative shrines already being seen outside Anfield in honor of the 28-year-old.

Jota spent three years with the Wolves before moving to Merseyside in 2020, and his lasting legacy in Molinaw was captured in Jeff Shee’s eulogy.

The club president said (via wolves.co.uk): “Diogo is a top player and for me, he is one of the top three players in the decade where Fosun and I have been here.

“He was also a lovely boy who was very warm, very kind and always understood, but he was also demanding. As a top player, you have to demand that your teammates do well.

“He was a very positive and optimistic man and could even give the Chairman confidence, but he had a very clear idea. He was clever, intelligent and very decisive in his actions.

“Diogo is so badly missed by everyone here in the wolf, and our thoughts are passed on to his family and friends.”

Diogo Jota played a massive role in the illustrious age of wolves

Diogo Jota is forever synonymous with the most successful period in modern wolves’ history, a championship club in 2017, and left three years later after registering for the Europa League quarterfinals.

He netted two famous hat-tricks in that European run (against Besikutas and Espanyol) and recorded unforgettable highs in Leicester’s thrilling 4-3 victory in January 2019.

It was his goal to secure a Euphoric FA Cup victory over Manchester United later that season and send Nuno Espirito Santo’s side to Wembley.

After 44 goals in 131 matches for the Wolves, he won a £41 million transfer to Liverpool, where he won the Premier League months before his tragic death.

The loyalists of Molineux remember the performance in which Jota starred on the pitch in Old Gold. Shi’s compliments show that the forward was also a great person behind the scenes, leaving an unforgettable mark for those who could not know him in his time at the club.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Diogo and Andre’s family and friends during this very sad time.
