Nikolaj Ehlers was once seen as a lifelong member of the Winnipeg Jets, expected to be a “draft and develop” success story. However, what appeared to be a perfect fit did not pan out as planned. Recently, Ehlers signed a six-year, $51 million contract with the Carolina Hurricanes, ending his chapter in Manitoba.
