Arsenal is approaching to securing the signature of Valencia’s highly rated centre-back Christian Mosquera, moving into the critical stage where we can see the Spanish defender arrive at the Emirates this summer.
Sources close to the agent industry have notified us Catch off side Mosquera has shown his intention to take the next step in his career by rejecting Valencia’s offer of a new contract and moving on to Mikel Arteta’s projects at the Premier League, particularly Arsenal.
Mosquera’s current deal will run until 2026, but Valencia is under pressure to cash out their valuable assets in order to avoid the risk of losing him for free next year. The defender made 41 appearances in all Spanish club competitions last season.
Arsenal is ready to make an improved offer
Arsenal had previously filed an offer of 14 million euros, but Valencia declined, but Gunners are ready to return with improved bids in the 220 million euros region, potentially increasing by another 3 million-5 million euros with performance-based bonuses.
Personal terms between Mosquera and Arsenal have already been agreed, giving the gunners the advantage to complete the transfer immediately.
The Arsenal package includes a significantly higher salary than Valencia’s annual offer of 3 million euros, coupled with the opportunity to play Champions League football and compete for key honors.
The gunners are trying to add depth to the central defence department. They already have Gabriel Magalges and William Saliba in the club, but they will need a backup option to address the demands of the Premier League and Champions League next season.
Mosquera is keen on transitioning to the Premier League
The young Spanish defender wants to continue his development in the Premier League. There you can play against some of the best players in the world.
The gunners are approaching the signatures of midfielders Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard. Mosquera could be his first defensive signature this summer.
Valencia is determined to protect the young defender, but there is a growing sense of optimism around the Emirates that the deal will soon be finalised, allowing Mosquera to join Arsenal.
