Everton is interested in signing Leicester City defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi during the summer transfer.

The 28-year-old is expected to leave the fox after being demoted to the championship. Everton has been keeping an eye on him for a while and is expected to make their move in the coming weeks.

Former Premier League Scoutmic Brown has revealed to football insiders that he can expect an offer from the Merseyside Giants soon.

Expected offer from Everton

“They have been keen on him for a while and he is a very solid player.

“Everton saw his performance in the scouts and he was one of Leicester’s better players.

“There are a lot of clubs who knew that release clause he has, so it can be hard to get through that.

“But I hope they will try and take him to the front of these clubs.

“In any case, he definitely looks away from Leicester.”

Everton needs more quality and depth in the middle of the park, making Nigerian International a great acquisition. He has extensive experience in Premier League football and was able to make an immediate impact at Everton.

They need to improve defensively, and quality defensive midfielders protect the back four and allow creative players to manipulate more freedom.

The 28-year-old will want to compete at the highest level, and returning to the Premier League at this stage of his career would be ideal for him. He’s far too good at the championship and the opportunity to join Everton is very exciting for him.

He is also linked to other Premier League clubs. It would be interesting to see where he ends. He is likely to be available in reasonable amounts after Leicester’s demotion. The midfielder could prove to be a major bargain for Everton.

They struggle with recent seasons and need his quality and experience to bounce back strongly for players of his quality and experience.
