F1 ESPN2 live television broadcast Last Sunday, the UK Grand Prix gained an average of 1.5 million viewers, 19% viewers in last year’s race, and the largest viewership for each Nielsen in US television events. The audience peaked at 1.8 million between 11:30-11:45am ET ET as they closed their popular first home country victory.
Of the 12 races held so far this season, 11 races have seen a year-over-year increase in viewers, with seven of the 12 setting viewing records for the event.
The UK Grand Prix audience rose from 1.3 million viewers last year. The race also averaged 629,000 viewers in the demographic ages 18-49.
Of the 12 F1 races so far this season, all but one (Miami) saw an increase in viewership ratings year-over-year, with seven of the 12 (Australia, China, Monaco, Spain, Canada, Austria and the UK) gaining an event-recorded audience. The Monaco Grand Prix audience was the third largest live audience ever in Formula 1 race on US TV.
All of ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC, Formula 1 races averaged 1.3 million viewers, up 7% on the season average for the 2024 season and 17% on the overall average for the 2024 season.
According to the 18-49 demographic, the race averages 511,000 viewers, an average of 14% increase from the 2024 season, and an average of 24% increase over the 2024 season average.
