The 23-year-old sinner is 69-9 in his major tournament career after winning the first set of the match.

This victory improves Thinner’s lifetime record against Shenton to 6-1. This includes victory in the 16th round of last year’s Wimbledon round, putting him in the semi-finals of the fourth straight tournament (2024 US Open, 2025 Australian Open, 2025 French Open).

No. 6 seed Djokovic, who currently has a 102 career victory at the All England club, will face No. 1 seed Janic Sinner on Friday.

After dropping the opening set, Djokovic took advantage of Koboli’s powerful error of 44 to win the final three sets of the match. According to I Paper’s James Gray, it was the 54th of 94 instances that Djokovic advanced in the Grand Slam tournament after Jjokovic lost his first set.

The last time Djokovic did not advance beyond the Wimbledon quarterfinals was in 2017 when an elbow injury forced him to retire against Tomas Berdic.

Djokovic and the sinner meet nine times in their careers, and the sinner has a 5-4 advantage. Friday’s match will be the fifth time they will play each other in their third time with the majors at Wimbledon. Djokovic won the 2022 quarterfinals and the 2023 semifinals, where he earned a 2-0 advantage.
