Lionel Messi achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first player in Major League Soccer history to score in four straight matches with multiple goals. He netted two goals to help Inter Miami secure a 2-1 victory over the New England Revolution on Wednesday night.

With this win, Miami (10-3-5) has now claimed four consecutive victories and remains unbeaten in their last five matches. Messi opened the scoring in the 27th minute, taking advantage of a deflected header from defender Tanner Beason. Then, in the 38th minute, he scored again after receiving a pass from Sergio Busquets near midfield.

Messi has scored at least once in five consecutive games and has accumulated a total of 14 goals, ranking just behind Nashville’s Sam Surridge, who has 16 goals, along with seven assists in 15 regular season encounters. Oscar Ustari made five saves for Miami during the match.

The New England Revolution (6-8-6) faced disappointment, unable to secure five consecutive wins as Carles Gil managed to score in the 79th minute. Goalkeeper Aljaz Ivacic made one save during the encounter.
