  • How does Viktor Gyoker transfer Saga End?
  • Gyoker looks like the need of prolific striker Arsenal

Arsenal reportedly had already met Sports Lisbon’s first request for Viktor Gyoker, exceeding his original asking price.

That said, according to Athletic’s David Ornstein, the gunners still don’t agree to the price with Giyoker’s sports, much to the player’s frustration.

Swedish International appears to be on strike at a Portuguese club now and, as Mais Futebol first reported, has neglected to show up towards the start of preseason training today.

The Athletics report adds that Gyoker is furious with the sport and feels he’s back to their words to get the 60 million euros and 10 million euros that Arsenal offers.

It will be interesting to see if Arsenal can make any progress with this deal, but the fact that Gyoker is pushing so hard for the move will certainly help the North London giants.

The 27-year-old appears to be determined to get his move, and Fabrizio Romano has spoken on YouTube about Arsenal as well about continuing to reach an agreement with the sport.

“Arsenal has undergone very high consultations with Victor’s Gyoker, and that remains the same. So it remains a step forward. It remains concrete. It definitely continues,” Romano said.

“The transaction was not made after that. The club needs an agreement club before the transaction is completed. The contract with Gyoker is still complete. This is a five-year contract.”

Gyoker has a stunning record of 97 goals in 102 games for the sport. Since moving from Coventry City two years ago, he has established himself as one of the very best centre forwards in Europe.

Arsenal had a shortage of goalscorers last season, and no one in their current team had reached double numbers due to league goals.

Even if Gyoker hasn’t proven himself in the Premier League yet, he looks like Mikel Arteta as someone who shouldn’t have too much trouble upgrading on what he’s already attacking.
