Chicago Sky is set to take on the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday, aiming to secure their second straight win of the season, with their last victories dating back to May 29th and 31st. Angel Reese shared that both she and her teammates have been intensifying their efforts recently, a fact evident in their strong performance on Saturday where they scored 29 points in the opening quarter.

By halftime, Chicago Sky held a 13-point advantage, but the Lynx fought back strongly in the third quarter. Despite a standout performance from Lynx star Napheesa Collier, who tallied 26 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, the Sky managed to edge out an 87–81 victory as an 11.5-point underdog, according to ESPN BET.

Reese also contributed significantly with 19 points and 11 rebounds, securing another double-double. After the win, she emphasized the importance of this victory for the team, noting their focus and enjoyment on the court. “This means a lot to us,” Reese said. “We can’t let anything but ourselves take us out of the game. We were very locked in today. It was a lot of fun—everyone played so well tonight.”

This win provides a much-needed confidence boost for the Sky, who have had a tough season. The Lynx entered the game as the top team in the WNBA, boasting an 18-3 record, while all other teams have at least six losses.

Fan Take: This victory is a significant moment for the Chicago Sky and highlights Angel Reese’s rising impact in the league. For WNBA fans, it signals a potential shift in competitive dynamics, making the season even more exciting and unpredictable.
