Sunderland is looking to improve its defensive forces by signing Charlie Creswell from the French costume Toulouse.
The 22-year-old is highly rated, and Sunderland recently sent out a scout to monitor players who are on action. According to former scout Mick Brown, Regis Le Bliss is trying to improve his defense force, and he has identified England Under 21 International as a target.
“Sunderland has seen Charlie Creswell,” he told Soccer Insider.
“They had scouts for less than 21 euros, but from what I heard they were impressed by what they saw.
“He only left Leeds last year, but it’s no surprise to see him return to the Premier League.
“It’s probably going to double what he’s left behind because that’s how these things work when you’re a Premier League club fighting for a deal.”
Charlie Creswell may be an asset
Creswell was impressed by the UK, which cost less than 21 euros earlier this summer. It will be interesting to see if they can make a deal with Sunderland. They have been promoted to the Premier League and will need to improve their teams in the coming weeks.
Creswell will be a quality long-term acquisition for them. Meanwhile, the opportunity to move into the Premier League is exciting for young defenders as well. It’s a big step for him and he’ll try to prove himself at the highest level.
Sunderland needs quality additions
Sunderland is looking to establish himself as a regular in the Premier League. They wouldn’t want to return to the championship next summer. They need quality players to survive in the Premier League. Improving your defensive units is a wise decision.
The former Leeds United defender joined the French outfit in 2024 for a fee of around £3.8 million, allowing Toulouse to double its investment. It is still unknown if the black cat is ready to pay for him.
Creswell fell out with Daniel Fark before leaving Leeds, and he was able to motivate him to prove himself in British football.
