Jose Sharme has brought in some pure goal scorers.

Jeff Skinner, a veteran of 15 NHL seasons, is joining the Sharks on a one-year deal worth $3 million.

At 33 years old, Skinner is a left winger who scored 30 goals back in the 2018-19 NHL season, ranking among the top 40 goal scorers.

Despite seeing his average ice time drop to 13 minutes per game last season while playing with the Stanley Cup finalist Edmonton Oilers, Skinner still managed to net 16 goals.

A recent tweet by Jonathan Willis highlighted the Oilers’ top 5-on-5 goal scorers by goals per hour last season, placing Skinner third with a rate of 1.01, showing his scoring efficiency even in a reduced role.

This confirms that Skinner, standing 5-foot-11 and known for his left-handed shot, is definitely capable of putting the puck in the net.

Fan Take: Adding Jeff Skinner to the Sharks brings an experienced scorer who can make a significant impact on the team’s offense. For hockey fans, this signing signals a promising boost in goal-scoring power and could help the Sharks become more competitive in the coming season.
