Manchester United is interested in the potential relocation of £60 million Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.
Catch off side Earlier this week, Reuben Amorim reported that Watkins is a key target for Man UTD this summer, as he wants players with Premier League experience.
The Daily Mirror now also reports that Watkins is a target for United, adding that the asking price for England International is likely to be around £60 million.
Amorim needs to continue rebuilding this Red Devils team. Matheus Cunha is another proven Premier League player who participated this summer.
Meanwhile, Bryan Mbeumo is another similar profile that is strongly linked by Sky Sports and others, even if the deal is not yet underway.
Do Ollie Watkins need strikers signing Manchester United?
Watkins is prolific during his time at Villa Park and certainly can take the step up into him to a higher level.
That doesn’t necessarily mean United is at a higher level than the villas for now, but of course, the pressure to line up at Old Trafford in its famous red shirt is enormous.
It will be interesting to see if Watkins can take the form of his villa with him and give them the reliable 15-20 Goal Players they need so badly.
Watkins, Hojlund out at Man Utd?
Rasmus Hojlund is flops at United and likely will leave, potentially giving way to Watkins’ arrival.
The 29-year-old would certainly be a better option in front of goal than Hojlund, who had previously failed to withstand his potential in his time in England.
Hojlund has only 14 Premier League goals in his two seasons at Manchester. Meanwhile, Watkins scored 35 league goals in 75 appearances.
