Romo points to several reasons for optimism, especially the presence of three-time league MVP and Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes. “This has been said before,” Romo remarked at the American Century Championship, referencing comparisons made to Tom Brady, the Patriots, and Bill Belichick. When asked to weigh in on recent debates about whether a “prime” Aaron Rodgers outshines Mahomes, Romo chose to avoid comparisons, affirming both quarterbacks’ extraordinary talent and unique abilities.

Kansas City has also worked to secure key offensive players, re-signing wide receiver Marquise Brown and running back Kareem Hunt, along with linebacker Nick Bolton, while bolstering their offensive line through free agency and the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.
