Chelsea highlighted on Sunday to win the Club World Cup, winning 3-0 against PSG. However, there was an ugly post-match scene at Matlife Stadium, where João Pedro and Luis Enrique played against the League One side.

The match itself was very fiery. In particular, Joanne Neves was sent off after he pulled Marc Kukurera’s hair. The Portuguese midfielder became the second player to be fired for his actions during the 2024-25 season after Southampton’s Jack Stevens.

Tensions surged after Australian umpire Alireza Fagani blew his full-time mouth s out to confirm Chelsea as the world champion. The Dazn camera took this. It stands out for a particular moment where Pedro and Luis Enrique stand out.

Luis Enrique and João Pedro Otter have a last whi argument

In a passionate exchange between PSG player Gianluigi Donnarumma and Achraf Hakimi, the captured moment shows Pedro, with Chelsea’s Andrei Santos also present. Luis Enrique enters the scene and appears to grab Brazil’s front by his throat.

It is not clear why it sparked Luis Enrique’s reaction, but it certainly wasn’t accepted. And he could now be at risk of serious punishment from FIFA.

It’s never a good thing to see their incident happening in football, and it’s especially surprising to see managers involved. But Chelsea rarely thinks too much as they can focus on celebrating becoming a world champion.

Currently, the Chelsea First Team holiday period is shortened. The Chelsea first team will return to the start of the Premier League season in just a month. It’s not ideal for Maresca and his players, but it’s unlikely to think too much about it now.
