Darwin Nunes is highly regarded in Liverpool. It was probably their fanbase preference for Uruguay, once billed as a club record guy, and has put him in books for a long time. Another character following his path may not receive the same warmth, encouragement.

Certainly, he flattered deceiving the maiden’s term in the Premier League. He only scored nine goals after being entrusted with the lead role of Jurgen Klopp, who was obsessed with Nanez’s 2021/22 Champions League and campaigning with Benfica.

He improved the following year, notching 32 goal contributions in all competitions, lifting the Carabao Cup in the year when the club and players were revived. But there was still something missing.

Arne Slot’s arrival has announced a new chapter. That was what Nunez needed to make use of. However, the 25-year-old is currently on sale after his third term at Merseyside and has been awarded one start in the league since Boxing Day, as he only scored seven goals last season.

Sometimes it’s not possible to stop. It’s always unpredictable. However, Nunes is a heretic in the inner workings of his mind, and he proves that even the slots are too difficult to crack.

Liverpool needs a new striker. That’s obvious.

Liverpool plans to sign a new striker

It was a surprise when the news broke Monday evening when Newcastle United was about to sign a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitique.

Liverpool fans may be excited by this, even if Ekitique was one of FSG’s top targets this summer. Can the two truly live together in 9th place for the Magpie?

However, the Swedish star is rated at £200 million, and the Reds may have tended to focus on Viktor Gyoker, who scored 97 goals over two seasons in the Lisbon sport.

Alas, Isaac’s international teammate is heading for Arsenal.

However, the list of Liverpool options in front of the ship is further expanded than the one mentioned above, with one of Europe’s most prolific shooters on the radar.

Certainly, according to Athletic’s David Ornstein, the list features Victor Osimhen’s name, and Napoli is eager to offload Nigeria International this summer. Due to the collapse of his relationship with the Naples costume, the loan forward to Galatasaray set off last summer.

Osimhen is believed to have a price tag in the £60 million region, and Galatasaray is pushing for a permanent deal at 26, but Liverpool’s financial and sporting benefits hopes sports director Richard Hughes will raise interest.

Why Liverpool should sign Victor Osimchen

Liverpool knows that Louis Diaz can leave Anfield this summer. We saw Bayern Munich knock back on the official proposal and hoped the Colombians would complete the move.

If he goes, Liverpool will have to sign a high-cost alternative. It affects the appeal of relatively affordable Osimen trading.

Additionally, he has been proven over the years with League One and Italy’s top flights, and in fact won the Serie A in 2022/23, and after a 26-goal campaign he won the Italian player ‘Player of the Year.

Last season, the 27-year-old Gyoker may have slightly surpassed his African positioning peer on paper, but Osimhen is still forging a great season for himself, and he is proven to a higher level than Arsenal’s new recruits.

In fact, please also incorporate ekitike into the equation. You can see that Osimhen may really be something to go between the two.

Liverpool may be unhappy with Newcastle’s ostensible advantages in Newcastle’s Ekitique competition, but the Frenchman is a raw, unfinished article despite plenty of blank scripts to write a career that shines for himself.

But Osimhen has been proven, tested and tested. He is one of the best in the business, and Dave, the statistician statistical man, even declared him “the best striker on the market” in early 2025.

Signing one of Ekitike or Isak is undoubtedly an appetizing idea for Liverpool persuasive people, but that may not come to fruition.

Still, the sights are set in Osimhen, which is more complete and accomplished than Ekitique at this point, and have tools comparable to the Newcastle talisman on the British coast.

That’s what Liverpool needs to go ahead of the curve. They have high potential. They invested in Nunes. And now Uruguay International is set off for a new meadow, and the Reds need someone who can lead the line with the conviction and quality of a world-class player, and are willing to defeat the gauntlets and challenge Gyoker, Isaac and Ehling Haaland.

As analyst Ben Matinson explained, he is the last third “monster”, with a strong sinnew physicality and a seemingly mobile approach that demonstrates his suitability in the slot system, creating the forefront of the required hierarchy and shifts whenever necessary, overwhelms the enemy and keeps guessing defenders.

It would be a mistake to enter a new season where Nunes was still inserted as Liverpool’s main striker. Ah, he’s a well-received, sometimes a chaotic energy bunch, but the slots have to be ruthless to defend their Premier League title. Gyoker is proof of this.

Luckily, Liverpool’s head coach has never had any problems calling his team’s greater profits stricter up until now.
