According to ESPN, Sunday’s match averaged 2.9 million viewers, up 31% in last year’s final, with around 3.8 million winning the fifth set tiebreaker in the two matches of the biggest tennis champions.
The network also said on Tuesday that both male and female semifinal ratings were up. Samis, including American Amanda Anisimova, upset No. 1 Arena Sabalenka, and averaged 897,000 viewers. The average for men was 1.31 million, the highest since 2019.
