Exclusive: Liverpool star waited 70 days for a collapsed transfer

Darwin Nunes had been waiting for nearly 70 days to move to Napoli.

My sources say Naples have long considered him their first choice. Also, players had no issues with bonus salaries of over 5 million euros per season. The discussion lasted only 48 hours ago.

Since last weekend, Naples (who always had Lorenzo Lucca as Plan B from the same date in May) had been considering moving to Udinese’s expertise.

It is no coincidence that on Saturday they surprisingly resumed contact with Turin regarding Mirinkovic Savic without abandoning the Ndoye option. This is an indirect confirmation that Napoli is considering assigning the money saved to Liverpool strikers to other targets.

Napoli was willing to pay Liverpool for Darwin Nunes’ transfer

Naples had given the Reds its first offer of 42 million euros for Nunes. They then surpassed the 50 million euro barrier, changed their strategy and chose the second name on the list in the form of Lucca.

Now, almost 70 days later, Nunes was able to determine his future after truly cultivating his dream of wearing a Napoli jersey, giving him his absolute priorities from all the options available to him.

Still, when Naples falls, there is no shortage of other offers. He had already been approached by the professional league clubs of Saudi Arabia (including Al-Hilal, which we discussed previously). He decides immediately after discussion with his advisor and with the possibility of his current club approval.
