Liverpool may have been encouraged through an intermediary to raise interest in the transfer to Alexander Isaac.

It’s nicely connected as details emerge about the Reds’ pursuit of Swedish International, according to Telegraph’s Newcastle journalist Luke Edwards.

Isak was a huge hit around the time of St. James Park, and it makes sense that players of his caliber are now appearing as Liverpool’s big targets.

The big news yesterday broke that via Athletics and others, Liverpool signalled Newcastle that they could pay Newcastle £120 million.

That’s several statements by the Premier League champions, and they’ve already got a strong start from the summer transfer window with contracts with Florian Wiltz, Jeremy Frimpong and Milos Kerquez.

Can Liverpool really sign Alexander Isaac?

While it seems a bit ambitious to try and persuade Newcastle to let go of such a key player, Edwards suggests that Liverpool is given encouragement that players want to move.

“Isaac hasn’t told Newcastle he wants to leave, at least not yet,” Edwards wrote.

“But, especially if he turns his head, Liverpool will obviously be keen to move if Newcastle sells, perhaps through an intermediary.”

It’s not an easy position for Newcastle to participate. That’s not an easy position, especially in a report that adds that Liverpool could rival Magpies due to the signature of EintraChat Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitique.

Isaac or Eki Ticket to Liverpool?

No matter what happens now, Liverpool fans can look quite confident that the club will land the top striker this summer.

Isak has already proven in the Premier League, making it a dream option, but Ekitique is another exciting talent.

The Frenchman shines in the Bundesliga and will certainly be the ideal Isaac replacement for Newcastle.
