Currently, LAFC sits sixth in the MLS Western Conference with a record of 9 wins, 5 draws, and 5 losses.

Long has earned 35 caps for the U.S. men’s national team, where he served as captain for a period and participated in the 2022 World Cup. His most recent match was during the 2023 Gold Cup.

This report incorporates information from the Associated Press.

Fan Take: This news is significant for soccer fans as Aaron Long has been a pivotal player for both LAFC and the U.S. national team. His absence could impact LAFC’s playoff hopes and raises questions about the future of U.S. soccer’s defensive lineup, especially with upcoming international competitions.
