Man United wants to sign Brian Mbeumo, and despite little progress in recent weeks, Breakthrough has bid for his second signing of the summer transfer period.

It has been more than six weeks since it was revealed that Mbeumo was prioritizing the move towards Old Trafford amid interests such as Newcastle and Tottenham. Meanwhile, Man United had an opening offer rejected by Brentford, and after that snub they were planning a way to approach negotiations.

There is a new optimism that the 25-year-old, who hopes that Mbeumo will be signed by the end of the month, is heading for Manchester despite the unlikely to be seen at one stage, with 20 goals and seven assists in the Premier League last season.

As reported by David Ornstein, Man United has submitted a new offer for Mbeumo. The proposal is worth £700 million, of which £605 million is a fixed payment. Although Brentford has not yet issued a response, the offer is pretty close to Cameroon International’s rating.

The past few weeks have not been easy for Man United, and it is clear that supporters are unhappy with the lack of movement on the Mbeumo front. However, these developments offer new hope, but the results are still a little far away.

It remains to be seen whether Brentford will accept it, but Man United is confident they’ll get their man. And when they do, the priority is to sell Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and more.
