Manchester United has reportedly come to terms with Brentford regarding a transfer for Brian Mbemo. The 20-time English champions are set to pay up to £71 million for the 25-year-old forward, including various add-ons.

Mbemo has also reportedly accepted United’s offer for a five-year deal, which could be extended until 2028. He has informed other potential clubs that his preference is to join United.

The forward made the move to Brentford from Troyes in 2019, and since then, he has played 242 matches for the club, scoring 70 goals and providing 51 assists. With his speed, strength, and finishing skills, his addition is expected to significantly bolster Ruben Amorim’s squad at Old Trafford, especially after their disappointing 15th place finish in the 2024/25 season, alongside Matheus Cunha.

Fan Take: This transfer is crucial for Manchester United as it reflects their commitment to rebuilding and competing at the highest level. For soccer fans, it represents a significant move in the pursuit of restoring the club’s former glory and signals the ongoing evolution within the Premier League landscape.
