Golf Channel Analyst: Scotty Schaeffler managed to outperform Tiger Woods

Golf Channel Analyst: Scotty Schaeffler could have originally appeared in Spin.

Sunday marked Scotty Schaeffler’s fourth major championship. He further proves why he is the best in the game right now. But one golf analyst believes there is a world where he will actually be the best of all time.

If so, few golfers were as dominant as Tiger Woods was at his peak. But Golf Channel’s Paul McGinley believes Schaeffler will be on track on his way outperforming Eldrick if he can keep this up.

“Scotty Schaeffler’s secret sauce is between his ears. That’s where he is in his best condition. I’ve never seen a competitor as good as this guy anywhere near Tiger Woods. That’s how tall the bar is,” McGinley began.

“And I think over time I might even prove he’s better. He might even prove he has a longer life than Tiger’s Forest on top.

“And he appears to have a great (balance) between golf is really important and loving it and loving to compete, but that’s not the most important thing in his life,” added former World No. 18. “It’s a sweet spot there. It’s also a fun thing to keep him still and can leave him behind if it’s not a good day.”

“And I really think this guy will be around for a long time. And it’s hard to see what can get him off track. There’s a lot of things he’s going around and through the other side of his life and his golf career.”

Scotty now feels almost unstoppable. And he certainly lacks, even if he still has a long way to go before he places himself in the rare air of Tiger Woods.
