Arsenal has been blessed with a wealth of incredible talent over the years.
For example, Mikel Arteta’s current teams include Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Declan Rice, among others, and others, who have made it into the best teams in the world.
Furthermore, during the peak of Arsène Wenger’s tenure, Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Robert Pirès were unable to move to Highbury’s international superstars.
But there was another star of that era. They might consider him to be one of the most technically talented players wearing Arsenal’s red and white, Dennis Bergkamp.
The Dutch who do not fly were able to do things on a soccer field that barely even dreamed of. If the report is believed, the club may be trying to sign someone who could become a new version of him.
Arsenal is targeting their new Bergkamp
This year has been an exciting summer in Arsenal’s transfer business, and the newest player who appears to be ready to join the club is Spanish centre-back Christian Mosquera.
This morning, the 21-year-old is flying to Singapore, where he will join the rest of the team for the preseason, along with other confirmed signatures such as Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard.
In addition to that, Gunner also appears to be approaching the end of the service of Swedish striker Victor Gyoker.
But even after he passes through the door, the club is set to add even more offensive quality, paying attention to players who have Bergkamp shades to him.
At least that’s according to a recent report from Football Insider, which reaffirmed Arsenal’s interest in Zabi Simons.
The report revealed that Dutch International is eager to leave RB Leipzig this summer, and alongside London rival Chelsea, Gunner is “considering an approach” for him.
The story claims that a 22-year-old would cost more than £60 million, and it’s not a cheap deal to get it done.
Arsenal’s love for the player appears to be on the rise at first glance with Fabrizio Romano, as he reports that the gunner is “eager” to land him, in interest from the blues.
Why Simons could become Arsenal’s new burgcump
Well, before the pitchfork and torch are out, this is known to be a big statement. Many fans believe that Bergkamp is one of the best players he has played for Arsenal, second only to Henry.
However, while it will take a little while to get closer to what Simons achieved in North London, there are some unmistakable similarities between the pair.
Leipzig, for example, is an incredibly versatile player. While he is said to be “one of the best teens in the world,” one analyst says he is more than he can play as a center forward on either wing.
Similarly, the former gunner icon spent much of his time traveling between his second striker and striker positions in Highbury, but occasionally appeared in 10 roles.
Secondly, one of the most famous things at the age of 56 was his sublime control of the ball and his ability in front of the goal, as most exemplified by its goal against Newcastle United.
Over his career, the former Paris Saint-Germain gem has also shown keen eye for incredible ability and goals with the ball at his feet.
For example, in 33 appearances last season, a total of 2,763 minutes was the Amsterdam-born “superstar” described by analyst Ben Matinson, who scored 11 goals and provided eight assists.

Additionally, FBREF ranks in the top 4% of the top five league midfielders in Europe, with successful take-ons around 90.
Finally, it’s another case where the club brings exciting Dutch attackers from the top European leagues, someone who appears to be able to make things happen on their own as things stand.
Ultimately, he wasn’t at the level where Bergkamp was at his peak today, but there is an undeniable similarity between Simons and the legendary magician.
Therefore, Arsenal should do everything they can to sign the Leipzig Star this summer before anyone else beats them.
