Crystal Palace is set to check the exit for the young striker after the best part of 15 years at the club.
It’s no surprise that many players who helped the Eagles have in their FA Cup glory last season are moves away from South London, including Mark Guech, Daniel Munoz, Ebebeki Eze and Jean Philippe Mateta.
It is still unclear whether these famous names will remain at Selhurst Park, but one young man definitely appears to be coming from SE25.
Palace striker is set for permanent travel to Austria
In the latest installation of Athletic’s Transfer Deal Sheet, Matt Woosnam reported that a deal has been agreed to confirm that Palace forward Ademora Ola Adebomi will join WSG Tirol.
The 21-year-old still has one year left in his contract, but he has reached a contract where he sees him departing with a free transfer with attached clauses. He is scheduled to have medicine at the Bundesliga club in Austria today.
Ora Edebomi leaves for the palace without playing senior games
Ola-Adebomi was with the Eagles from under the age of 8, but never played in Selhurst Park as a senior and had to settle for being an unused replacement for the 2023/24 Premier League and Carabao Cup match (TransferMarkt).
In his previous loan spells at Burton Albion and Bivalen, he was prolific under 21 at Palace last season, scoring 12 goals in 13 games in Premier League 2 (transfer mark), but he was a feature of just 23 times.
The Austrian Bundesliga may not be one of Europe’s most important domestic divisions, but his impending move to Tillor could potentially fire his career at the first team level against teams with decent continental status such as Red Bull Salzburg and Sturm Glaz.
The reported sell-on clause will at least allow people in south London to benefit financially, at least if Ola Edebomi moves in the future. And if he stars in Central Europe, he can get orderly amounts for both the current club and the club he is about to join.
His exit now appears to be imminent, but palace fans are eager to see that people like Guehi and Eze will not chase him this summer.
