This summer was an exciting thing Arsenal fans should watch. The days when EDU dragged things out and missed out on major targets are over. Andrea Berta came in and was offensive in the window.

Gunner has only played two pre-season games, but has already signed six players.

That being said, the saga, which revolved around new centre forward Viktor Gyoker, was certainly tiring. But that wasn’t Berta’s fault.

Arsenal was primarily assigned to the two strikers in this window. Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko. However, despite most approvals at Arsenal, Sesco’s agents priced him out of the move, and instead the Swedes were pursued.

The gunners are definitely pleased with their business. This is the player who scored 54 goals in 52 games last season. Even half of that tally for 2025/26 would be a successful acquisition.

But what’s next? Well, Berta is already working hard.

What’s next for Arsenal after Gyoker?

For a while, Arsenal could be focused on moving players out of the club. Gyoker’s arrival may require sales as it spent more than £200 million this summer.

Fulham is said to be in discussions to sign Reiss Nelson, but there is also interest from Crystal Palace. That’s where Arsenal’s next deal can take them.

People in North London are keen to sign Ebebeki Eze this summer, and according to journalist Ben Jacobs, they are currently in consultation with the palace.

Up until this point, in personal terms there was only an agreement between Ez and Arsenal.

There was a lot of development over the weekend, but the football relocation notes that Mikel Arteta’s part has agreed to pay the first £30 million to England International, focusing on the remaining £38 million payment structure of his release clause.

Independent Miguel Delaney reports that sources close to the player believe he will become an Arsenal player in the coming weeks and are confident the deal will be over.

The Emirates Stadium outfit is said to be Eze’s best option this summer, but Berta and CO hope to be able to agree to a fee of around £60 million for his services.

Why Eze could become Arsenal’s new Thomas Rothic

During Arsenal’s time for Arsene Wenger, the team was full of technical geniuses. Don’t forget things like Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry. In his later years as a Frenchman, players like Jacques Wilche, Santi Casorla, Mesute Ozil and Alexis Sanchez came to the fore.

There were other ones too. Consider the players cut from Anfield’s four goal scorers, Andrey Arshavin, Alexander Hleb, and similar fabrics, Tomas Rosicky.

Signed from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of just £6.8 million, he arrived as one of the continent’s most exciting young attacking midfielders.

Czech Republic International took him a fierce ball strike. There were some we saw when he scored his first goal, but he also had the ability to attract defenders.

As Wenger once said, “He always makes things happen. Not individual dribbling, but individual acceleration and his death. When he arrived here, I think he was not a tactical player, but a ‘Mozart’ of Pragueu – he was a purely creative and offensive player. ”

The injury really destroyed Rosicki’s career in London, and in the end his numbers were not particularly impressive, scoring 28 goals and supplying 23 assists. Still, his qualities are still lovingly remembered by a certain generation of supporters.

Removes injuries from the equation and Eze is incorporated into a similar lab. As Samdeen of the Telegraph puts it, the sense of the palace is “magicians”, “the exact kind of Arsenal is gone.”

It is difficult to challenge that claim. Like Rosicky, he is creative, he is a scorer, and, as Wenger pointed out, he is a bit Mozart on the ball.

Eze’s first game of preseason did just that, almost scoring an astounding solo goal. Like Rosicky, he owns the ball and jumps forward. What happened next was bold and almost lacked a goalkeeper.

£68 million please

Arsenal has many players who enjoy playing football. Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegard are the main ones. But what Arteta did after arriving at Arsenal is building a Giants team.

Mikel Merino suggested that when he first moved to the Premier League, “We (Arsenal) look like a basketball team,” he said, some of the technical aesthetics were lost in it.

But Eze returns it to Arsenal. He was a 14-goal scorer and was the creator of 11 assists in 2024/25.

That wasn’t just one time either. He’s just getting better as he’s been double-figures throughout his last three campaigns. Last season was his best in the red and blue stripes of the palace so far.

He is a star the Premier League demonstrated and like Declan Rice, he will easily settle on club things.
