Joaquin Niemann Coasts of Liv Golf UK for the fifth title of 2025

Joaquin Neimann won his fifth victory of the season after winning a three-stroke victory on Sunday at Liv Golf England.

Neiman had a 3-under 68 card on Sunday, finishing a 17-under 196 in a tournament at JCB Golf and Country Club on the UK roster. The Torque GC captain has collected five birdies against two bogeys to add titles in Adelaide, Singapore, Mexico City and Virginia.

Sunday’s victory served as a $4 million payday for Neeman, who started the week by firing caddy and coach after missing a cut at the 2025 Open Championship.

However, Niemann’s torque GC failed to hold a three-stroke lead over the Legion XIII for its first team title since 2023. Legion XIII shot an astounding 14 under Sunday, finishing at 35 under in the tournament.

The first is for Neiman, who wasn’t too interested in talking about his individual plays on Sunday.

“Well, I didn’t feel like I was doing my best today, so I’m going to talk for the first two days,” Nieman said. “Yeah, it was great. I was able to flow in tough situations.

“Today I felt pretty calm and pretty cold. Until Baba (Watson) started playing golf. Yeah, he made it difficult for me. I was actually under pressure on 13, 14, but yeah, yeah, I stayed now. Yeah, I managed to hit a great shot at 15.

Speaking of Watson, he had four birdies and two Eagles, from 9th to 14th to 14th. He finished second at 14 under after his 65th year of age.

Neiman stopped his charge after sending a shot within five feet of the cup on the 15th hole.

“Yeah, I was so happy to see that ball go near it, and when I made that birdie I think it was huge in the next three holes,” he said.

“The 16 was a good left-handed hole so I needed some room to be a little more comfortable. Yes, I probably looked easier, but it was pretty stressful.”

Caleb Sarat (65 on Sunday) sunk six birdies during a bogeyless round, finishing at 13 under the tournament, followed by Talor Gooch (66) at 11 under.

As for team play, Legion XIII captain John Rahm was excited after his team won the fourth title of the season.

“All four scores are counted this year, so I thought we played for our own benefit. It was displayed early and I’m watching now,” Rahm said. “I don’t think anyone did their best in the middle of the season. Last week I hope Caleb has a good tournament and doesn’t have to birdie something like the last four holes to win. It’s good to look at the scoreboard and see that.”
