Despite already spending heavily this summer, Chelsea is reportedly currently dreaming of signing a Premier League rival that Cole Palmer already knows.
Chelsea still presses Xavi Simons Pursuit
As always, Chelsea’s spending is far from the summer transfer period. With Yorel Hat signed and delivered, Bruce reverted focus towards the reinforcement that immediately attacked the focus, more specifically the Xavi Simons. RB Leipzig midfielder may be on his way out of a German club this summer, with Chelsea moving forward towards his signature.
The former Barcelona talent isn’t on Chelsea’s list either. As Fabrizio Romano argued, Alejandro Garnacho has also appeared on the target candidate list in another deal with Simons. As things stood, the people at Stamford Bridge were able to land a double dive this summer to complete an impressive attack overhaul.
Garnacho in particular is destined to travel if the right offer arrives this summer. Manchester United boss Reuben Amorim told reporters when asked about Argentina recently. “Garnacho is a truly talented boy, but sometimes things don’t work out, and I can’t explain exactly what it is.
“But I feel that Garnacho wants another thing with different leadership. And I can understand that. That doesn’t matter. Sometimes you adapt to one man and you have a connection.
“Otherwise, new challenges are needed. We are trying to make everything okay for all the parts, clubs, coaches and players. That’s the natural thing about soccer. ”
That said, as much as they are on their list, neither Garnacho nor Simons have been sitting at the top of Chelsea’s dream wish list this summer. Instead, another Premier League rival won the place.
Chelsea dreaming of signing Rogers
According to football insider Pete O’Rourke, Chelsea dreams of signing Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa this summer, raising interest despite the midfielder’s £80 million price tag.
This deal is also not easy to negotiate, thanks to Villa’s reluctance to sell one of its most important players. However, there is no denying that the £80 million sale will immediately ease the PSR stock they still handle.
Bruce’s dream signature could possibly be near the top of Palmer’s wish list. The Chelsea star, of course, is approaching with Rogers together in Manchester City, and even stole his infamous celebration from the Aston Villa midfielder.
Rodgers, a player called Glenn Hoddle, can take Chelsea from top-4 hopefuls to a shocking candidate to title nominee, but it remains to be seen whether Aston Villa will sell Starman this summer.
